COVID Canceled our Wedding…We’re doing what?!

Like many couples across the US, the COVID-19 pandemic placed a “pause” on our life plans. The wedding that we had always dreamed of surrounded by our family and friends was just not a possibility anymore for us. When we sat down as a couple to figure out exactly what we wanted to do including decreasing the guest list or canceling the wedding altogether, my lovely fiancé came up with another idea: one of the best ideas we could have ever decided for ourselves.

During the Covid pandemic we purchased a Smittybilt rooftop tent to escape and go camping from the comfort of our Tacoma. This rooftop tent opened our eyes to how much we could go out and explore the great outdoors which we both truly love and enjoy.

His idea included taking that amazing rooftop tent on the road and exploring the United States hitting as many places as we possibly could in the span of 4 months…. yes 4 months!! Inspired by @Marrymeintravel, I added to this plan by saying that a wedding dress and tux shouldn’t be worn for just one evening. On this trip we will be taking amazing wedding pictures across the United States in some of the most epic locations as part of our honeymoon trip! We will be visiting and having our incredible family and friends meet us at some of these epic locations and spending true quality time with them all!

Along the way, we will plan to travel hack and continue to be as frugal as possible with some of the activities we have planned. I hope you choose to join us on this incredible journey! This journey will begin our life as a married couple and we are planning to make it the best honeymoon possible!

Thank you for following our journey, I can’t wait to share it with you all!
